the characters you defeat before they join your party.
getting Yuffie
for Yuffie, you have to hunt for her in any forest.
you have to defeat her inorder to her in your party.
after the battle, you'll be taken to a seen where Yuffie is laying down. she is fine.
just walk up to her and talk to her.
don't use the save point or she'll run away with some gil.
and don't insult her abilities. she is very proud of her skills.
here's what she says and what you should answer back.
Yuffie: You spikey headded jurk! let's go one more time!
you: not interested
>now she's feeling cocky, so she taunts you. talk to her again.
Yuffie: You're pritty scared of me, huh?
you: petrified
>She'll start to leave, but turns back and yells back:
Yuffie: I'm really gonna leave! REALLY!
you: Wait a second!
>She seems to get the picture.
Yuffie: you want me to go with you?
you: that's right
Yuffie: All right! I'll go with you.
you: let's hurry on.
Yuffie joins your party
Getting Katt
to get Katt on your side, just like Yuffie, you have to defeat her before she joins you.
(and save her to make the next boss battle easyer)
but she's tougher to beat then Yuffie is.
Ryu (Baba) will have to beat her by himself.
she usely taunts you and that reduces your attack power down.
her attacks can cause lots of damage.
use the Fire Rock and attack her and she should fall down fast.
then when the poison needle comes, push up to save her from danger.
if you do this, she says she is sorry for not beleving you about the poison needles and joins you.
you will now be able to have a party with Ryu, Katt, and Rand for the battle with Augus.
if you don't save Katt, then you'll just have Rand's help. (and it's hard without someone with speed and power and Katt has all that) |
